Gears of War: Judgement coming in March

Fan-favourite Cole, as seen in Gears of War: Judgement.

The newest Gears of War installment is set to emerge on March 19th, 2013.

Gears of War: Judgement is a prequel to the original trilogy, set just after the aftermath of Emergence Day, when the Locust took to the surface of Sera.

The story follows Baird and Cole as they defy orders and try to rescue the city of Halvo Bay from being destroyed at the hands of the locust.

On top of a new storyline, the game is set to include new weapons, enemies and multiplayer modes — like the much-touted new OverRun mode, which developers say is like a cross between Beast mode and Horde mode from the previous games.

Players can check the game out for themselves in March. It’ll retail for $59.99.

Neil Gaiman’s Sandman Returns

Neil Gaiman is heading back to his seminal work — The Sandman.

The plot is set to focus on the one story Gaiman felt he never really got to tell: the journey that had made Morpheus weak enough to be captured in an occult ritual in the first issue.

Comic fans don’t really need to be told how big a deal this is. Now for a very long wait until 2013.

Each of the films in the original Spider-Man trilogy managed to grab over $100 million on opening weekend, which seems to signify that fans might be suffering from a little spidey-fatigue, as it’s only been five years since the last Tobey Maguire-led effort.
